Wall stickers for Freerange Works

When the Freerange Works team set up their new office, they came to us looking for a wall sticker to showcase their brand and break up the commercial wall space.  Wall stickers are great for using in commercial spaces because they can be easily removed, making it a good signage and branding option for shorter term leases.

How we made this wall sticker

We recommended Freerange Works to use coloured vinyl stock rather than digital printing to keep it cost effective.  Coloured vinyl also gives a bold vibrant colour that looks great up on the wall.

After hunting through the various colour swatches we found some close matches for their brand colours and send some samples for them to check out.  Once confirmed, we set up the artwork and cut the sticker in two pieces (one for each colour), using registration marks to make the install easy. Below is a pic of the coral piece where you can see the registration marks, these were removed during the installation process.

Once both parts of the wall sticker were made, we ventured out to Beachlands and installed this beauty on their bare white wall.  It instantly gave their office more of a personality and a welcoming, lively vibe.

The team are loving working out of their newly branded office space and we’re stoked to have helped them achieve the vision they had for their new workspace!

Will the wall sticker damage the wall on removal?

We often get asked if wall stickers will damage the paint on removal – and the answer is ‘not normally, but it depends’!

For freshly painted walls, we recommend waiting at least a week before installing a wall sticker to ensure the paint has cured before the sticker is applied to the surface.  This will minimise the risk of the sticker removal damaging the paint.  The likelihood of damage also will depend on the surface, how smooth or solid it is, the quality of the paint job, how much sunlight the sticker is exposed to during its use etc.

Basically, we can’t say with any certainty if your wall sticker will or will not damage the paint on removal, but in most cases we find it doesn’t.  If there is any damage it is typically very minor and easy to fix with a light sand and touch up of paint.
